Canada is highly focussed on the health safety of people amid Coronavirus spread and recently evolved mutant strain, the government is taking all the required precautions to curb the infection transmission through the borders.
In this strategy, Canada has been implementing a pilot project (Covid19: Testing Pilot program) at the airports of Ontario and Alberta provinces and through this program the passengers arriving to Canada will be tested for covid19 and it is available free for the passengers.
After successfully implementing the Covid-19 Testing Pilot Program at Alberta airports, Canada is now extending the program to the country's largest and leading airport that is in Toronto, Pearson Airport.
This model was first introduced by the Alberta govt in November, the last year 2020 and it is giving successful results which prompted the federal govt to execute this model at Toronto Pearson Airport.
Pearson Airport is the busiest airport in Canada with more than 60,000 passengers arriving each week, the majority of the passengers include international students, workers, and permanent residents, etc.
The travelers arriving at the airport will be tested for covid19 and the Test results will be revealed within 48 hours. However, there is no exemption for passengers arriving at the border from the mandatory quarantine period of 14 days.
