As per the Immigration Levels Plan 2021-2023, the Canadian government set a big target of 401,000 new immigrants annually.
Strongest Month Canada Immigration
IRCC revealed that it had welcomed more than 35,000 new immigrants in June 2021. This is the strongest month in recent times with a total of 35,700 invitations.
However, to achieve the target of 401,000 new PRs for 2021, an average of 43,000 newcomers per month between July and December should get invited.
Past Historic Feat
The target of 4 lakh plus seems to be a tough one due to pandemic reasons and travel restrictions, but there was a past history when Canada welcomed over 400,000 immigrants, which happened in 1913.

Canada has welcomed nearly 143,000 new permanent residents in the first six months of 2021
In the beginning of the year, immigration level started on a good note with 24,680 new immigrants in January but lost momentum later, welcoming 23,395 in February, 22,425 in March, 21,155 in April, and 17,100 in May.
However, the momentum gained in June with 35,700 new PR arrivals.
