Canada is First Among English-Speaking Countries in Best Immigration Policy
It is a known fact that Canada is one of the most popular countries worldwide among abroad people to migrate. The vast nation is regarded as the most welcoming nation for abroad people to study, work and live, and the Canadians are the most friendly people.
It is to be noted that Canada is number one in the world in Quality of Life. The vast nation attracts people across the globe strong with its strong job market, political stability, a safe and secure environment, and a good education system.
As per the recent survey, Canada is ranked fourth in making and implementation of the best immigration policy, the survey was done on 52 countries.
Sweden is the first with 86 points following by Finland in second (85 points), Portugal in third (81). Canada got the fourth rank scoring 80 points, and New Zealand is awarded the 5th position with 77 points.
Canada is 4th in Migration Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) worldwide, but it is top among English-speaking nations.
Canada lost points as abroad people with temporary work permits or permanent resident visas have no right to vote or participate in politics. It is to be noted that permanent resident holders are eligible to apply for citizenship, where they are awarded all rights.
In addition to it, Canada had lost points for the long and complex pathways process for the permanent residence permit.
The anti-discrimination policies, welcoming nature towards multiculturalism, healthcare facilities and education/job opportunities etc are the biggest strengths of Canada, says the report. The family reunification was listed as favourable.
