Canada: Nova Scotia Holds Its First PNP Draw Of This Year: Priority For This Profession
Nova Scotia is the second-most densely populated and second-smallest province in Canada. The name Nova Scotia originated from Latin and it means "New Scotland”.
Nova Scotia province conducted the year’s first draw on January 19 and invited the foreign skilled candidates through the Labour Market Priorities stream that is linked to Express Entry to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.
However, Nova Scotia is yet to release the information about how many immigrants got the invitations in the draw.
Novascotia selected the eligible candidates from the Express Entry Entry pool as per the labour requirements of the province to apply for NSNP
Candidates with work experience as a financial officer were invited, while in the previous draws programmers, media developers, nurses, and workers belonging to the automotive industry were invited.
In order to get nominated, it is mandatory for Candidates to provide the reference letters issued by their firms and are required to possess atleast 4 years of work experience as a Financial Officer. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or completed a study program of at least 3 years.
Applicants must have a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 9 or higher in English. This time the CLB score target is very high compared to the last draw’s CLB score of 5.
Candidates who received a Letter of Invitation in this draw are required to submit the application on or before February 18, 2021.
It is to be noted, candidates who are eligible for provincial nomination are awarded an additional 600 CRS points and there are high chances for these candidates to receive Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR.
Candidates in the Express Entry system are assessed based on factors like age, study, work experience, and language proficiency and are awarded the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on the aforementioned factors which plays a key role in getting immigrated to Canada and get Canada PR.
