Canada PM Announcement On Incoming International Travellers. How to Travel Canada amid Latest Guidelines?
It is a known fact Canada is the most favourite destination for abroad people along with Indians, people come here to study, to explore, to work and to immigrate. Canada is offering permanent resident permits to skilled abroad workers and it is attracting a large number of outsiders. Canada is taking strict measures to curb the covid spread, imposed few guidelines on international travel, and also kickstarted the covid19 vaccination program besides ordering bulk vaccines to meet the country’s vaccine needs. International students and immigrants will also get the vaccine shots, the most priority are the frontline staff like healthcare staff, caretakers, and old age along with people with pre-medical issues etc.
Fear and confusion are induced across the world due to the new strain of covid19, therefore Canada is taking all measures at the borders to stop the transmission of infection and unwanted disturbances.
Canada PM's latest announcement is a part of it, and also a major one.
Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau has announced new covid19 guidelines to international travellers to stop the incoming of covid and new strains.
New Rules and Inputs for International Travellers Coming to Canada.
From Next week, flights arriving from outside Canada will land only in Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto. The airports in these cities are only authorized.
Air travellers (five years and above) have to provide a negative COVID-19 (PCR test) report planned departure for Canada.
Important caution-the corona test should be performed within 72 hours of the traveller’s flight schedule. A report exceeding the time limit is not permitted.
Besides submitting the negative report before boarding the flight in the home country, passengers are also required to take the Covid test (Polymerase Chain Reaction PCR test) test upon arrival at Canada airport.
Another important rule is, passengers should undergo quarantine at the hotel designated by the officials upon arrival, after taking the test.
Quarantine expenses (accommodation, food, etc) should be paid by the respective traveller
The cost might be around 2,000 Canadian dollars, as per PM estimations. Be prepared
Test results will arrive in three days, and If the test result is negative, the respective passenger or passengers are permitted to leave the government quarantine facility.
However, they are required to get self-isolate at their home for the remaining period.
It is to be noted that Canada's quarantine period for arrival passengers is 14 days.
The positive covid candidates have to stay at the government facility.
Important note-Air passengers coming to Canada are required to download the government's official app- ArriveCAN app, where the respective traveller is asked to fill in the required information like contact details, covid symptoms (if any), quarantine accommodation plans info etc. The information will be accessed by the border security officers upon arrival.
