Canada’s Biggest Priority is Family Reunification-IRCC Sets up New Office Space to Expedite the Family Class Applications
Canada has been focusing primarily on family reunification to connect the immigrants and families who have been long-distance due to pandemic-related travel restrictions.
As a part of the family reunification program, the government has expanded the new office, Case Processing Center, in Sydney, Nova Scotia to accommodate more staff in order to accelerate the processing times of family class overseas applications.
The current office space is limited to handle only 30 percent occupancy. Hence, the government is all set to increase the occupancy of immigration officials by expanding the office.
An ample of employees will work here in an effort to process more applications so that the whole process will move at a rapid pace. Reportedly, 62 additional staff will primarily handle the family class applications in the new office space.
Canada’s immigration minister, Marco Mendicino announced the news about the expansion on his Twitter handle. He had expressed that the new office will expedite the family reunification by processing more applications
Immigration Minister praised the work of the Sydney office in the immigration sector; he said that it plays a crucial role in the efforts of the government to strengthen Canada through immigration.
