Express Entry: Canada Invited 4,500 Candidates To Apply Canada. Aims for 108,500 PRs in 2021
Canada's IRCC, the federal department that supervises the country's immigration matters including citizenship and Refugee, has invited 4,500 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent residence in the latest express entry draw that was held on July 8, 2021.
In this express entry round, the invited immigrants belong to Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
As it is still difficult for outsiders to reach Canada due to pandemic and travel restrictions, IRCC has been focusing more on CEC candidates, who are staying in the country. Preference is being given to these candidates in express entry.
The CRS score requirement for the July 8 CEC specific round was 369.
The cutoff score is a bit high compared to the previous draw round when the cutoff score was 357 and 6,000 lTAs were issued. This is the smallest CEC draw since May 20.
The tie-break rule applies to immigrants with the lowest points and who have submitted their profiles in express entry before June 10, 2021 at 22:46:37 UTC. If Applied after, profile is not considered.
So far in 2021, Canada has invited 93,842 Express Entry candidates for PR, which is more than the previous year.
Canada aims for 108,500 permanent residents in 2021. It seems the target will be reached easily.
