Key Info To Indians Travelling To USA: Quarantine Mandatory For International Air Passengers, Biden Issued Executive Order
The newly elected president of the USA, Joe Biden is acting firmly in the implementation of pandemic control measures unlike the previous ruler Donald Trump who behaved like coronavirus is a joke for him.
As a part of the pandemic control, Joe Biden signed an executive order that reads mandatory quarantine for International Air Passengers seeking to enter the United States. He also insisted that wearing masks is compulsory for people along with social distancing in the USA and should be followed in interstate transportation as well. He has directed the agencies to implement the covid protocols effectively.
For international air travelers, it is required to submit the report of a recent covid19- negative report prior to the departure and must follow the CDC prescribed guidelines on self-quarantine or self-isolation after entering the United States.
It is required to get tested in no more than 3 days. The same report is verified by the air officials before boarding, and also a letter from a healthcare provider or a public health official stating that the person is able to do air travel should also be submitted. This process is to stop the corona spread and safeguard the air travelers and curb the infection from reaching the USA land.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a 7-day quarantine for people upon US arrival.
Biden insisted the health and security departments reconsider the contact tracing program for passengers and also asked the officials to follow-up corona testing for passengers after they arrive in the USA.
The president even ordered to speed up the mass vaccination and also ordered the manufacturing of the vaccine in bulk as per the requirements. The vaccine program that was launched in the Trump administration wasn't implemented effectively. However, the new government is keen to fasten the process and is willing to bring the vaccine shots to the majority of people in a short time.
