TR to PR Pathways- Canada Accepted Additional Immigration Applications of International Graduates. But, What Happened Is….
TR to PR Pathway
Canada launched temporary residence to permanent residence (TR to PR) programs, which are 6 special immigration programs intended to allow essential workers, French speakers, and international student graduates who are in Canada under temporary status, to apply for Canadian permanent residency.
The program was launched on May 6, and will be closed on November 5 or will continue till intake caps are reached
Accepted Graduates Applications Than Limit, why?
Actually, the intake cap (prescribed by IRCC) of 40,000 international student graduates reached just within 25 hours of launching the TR to PR program.
However, due to technical error, more applications of international student graduates were accepted by IRCC beyond the intake limit. The additional applications received are 7,307.
What is That Technical Error?
The extra volume of applications is due to a technical glitch arised in the electronic system.
The actual process in the system was that the submitted applications were counted using a live counter that displays the applications received on the respective website.
However, some applications of various students, which were submitted at the same time, were counted as one application. Means, if two applicants hit the “Submit” button simultaneously, the system took it as one application, leading to the acceptance of excess applications beyond the original intake cap
What About Additional Applications?
The additional applicants were not denied from applying for permanent residency, their applications are also in process.
Immigration minister of Canada Mendicino approved a policy on June 28, that allows the additional (7,307) applications to be processed.
